Terms of use
Version: terms-2026-10-draft · Draft for a lawyer: not yet approved.
1. The service
Followbooth is a web service for companies that exhibit at trade shows: it captures contacts from business cards, QR codes and forms, keeps them, and sends the materials people ask for by WhatsApp, email or Telegram. The operator named at the foot of this page provides it.
These terms apply to the person who creates an account on behalf of a company ("you") and to the company. If you accept them for a company, you confirm that you may bind it.
2. Account and access
You give a true email address and keep your password and the PINs of your colleagues to yourselves. What is done with your account or a PIN is done by you. Tell us at once if you suspect misuse.
The service is meant for businesses. You may not use it for consumers' personal use.
3. Plans and payment
A free plan with limited leads, users and events is available. Paid plans are an Event Pass (one event, for a limited period after the event) and an annual subscription. The limits and prices of each plan are shown on the pricing page and at checkout; prices are shown without VAT and tax is added at checkout where it applies.
Payments are handled by Stripe. We do not see or keep card numbers. An annual subscription renews itself until you cancel it in the billing portal; cancelling stops the next renewal, not the current period.
If a payment fails the account keeps working for a grace period and is then set to read-only until the payment is made.
4. Refunds
Refunds follow the refund policy published on the page "Refund policy". It is part of these terms.
5. Your data and your visitors
The leads, notes, files and messages you collect belong to you. For the personal data of the people you collect, you are the controller and we process it on your behalf; the processing terms are in our data processing agreement, which is available on request. You are responsible for having a lawful basis, for asking people for consent where the law requires it, and for what you send to them.
Use the service only to contact people who agreed to hear from you, and send only what they asked for. Do not send unlawful, misleading or abusive messages. The channels you connect (your WhatsApp and email accounts) stay yours and are subject to the rules of those providers.
You can export your data and delete it in the cabinet. After a paid plan ends your data stays readable and exportable for 90 days and is then removed according to our retention rules.
6. Acceptable use
Do not attempt to break, overload or reverse engineer the service, access another company's data, send spam, or use the service for anything unlawful. We may limit or suspend an account that does, and we will say why.
7. Third-party services
The service works through providers such as hosting, WhatsApp and email connectors, Telegram, payments and AI services that read business cards and voice notes. They are listed on the page "Who processes your data". Their availability is outside our control.
8. Availability and liability
We work to keep the service available, but it is provided as it is, without a promise of uninterrupted operation. Machine-read contact data can be wrong: check it before you rely on it.
To the extent the law allows, our liability is limited to the fees you paid for the plan in the twelve months before the event that caused the loss, and we are not liable for lost profit or indirect loss. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
9. Changes and ending
We may change these terms; the version in force is shown at the top of the page. When they change in a way that matters, you will be asked to accept the new version in the cabinet. You may stop using the service and delete your account at any time. We may end the service for an account that breaks these terms.
10. Law and contact
The law and courts that apply are those of the operator's country named at the foot of this page, unless mandatory law says otherwise. Write to the operator's email at the foot of this page with any question.
